Once, we walked on the land with them, treated almost as equals. That ‘almost’ gave a fierce sting.
When the time came, we chose the Dolphins, — they understood more than man ever could.
We were no match for a sharp blade, or machine gun fire and soon the sea ran deepest red with shared bloodshed.
Tossed into that gaping wound like we were toxic waste; we evolved, twisted and unnatural creatures of the sea.
Now, we wait for men to fall unsuspecting onto our rocks, seducing only those whose reality is distorted enough for them not to notice our tails.
